• Kitara is 9 Months Old

Alright, get ready for the cute-off.  I keep telling myself that I will work on having less baby-related posts, but, to be honest, she is the most important thing in my life anyway.  Consequently, you all get to hear all about her.  Smile

One of the neatest things about Kitara right now is that she is starting to be able to interact w/ me on a daily basis.  Sometimes she will mimic my actions or even listen to things I request of her.  It is really quite amazing.  Along w/ the fact that she is now crawling everywhere, I am having a blast learning and growing with my daughter every day.

Along with these new capabilities come a few new challenges as well.  Kitara is FAST.  She is not fast-fast, but she is sneaky-fast.  She lulls you into a sense of complacency and then zooms off to some forbidden part of the house.  Of course, her favorite activities are currently pulling down heavy objects on top of her head, chewing on power cables, and, my favorite, trying to yank the fur off the cat.  Needless to say, Crystal and I are scrambling about a bit more now, but we are learning to be smarter about how to watch over her.

Anyway, there are a few awesome video / images things that I want to share. First off, check out this video that Crystal got of Kitara a few weeks ago.  We have been learning to play Patty-Cake:

Kitara–Learning to play Patty-Cake

Even learning simple things like that still amaze me.  I still remember her as the eating-pooping machine.  Where did this learning / personality  thing come from?  Do I want to encourage it?  Winking smile

Finally, here are a few pics of her at 8 & 9 months.  As you can see, she got to have her first taste of snow, lol.

Having a blast!

Haha, awesome. That’s so cool, I can’t wait for Scarlett to be able to do this stuff. I’ve been trying to do the sign language thing… The only one I do at all consistently is “bath”, so maybe that one will stick. Heh. We’ll see. ;-) I’m already seeing how the world I’m living in (have lived in) where I have some ability to accomplish something after 4:30pm is diminishing.. right now it’s because I can only type with one arm or have to walk-and-bounce for 30 minute stretches, but MAN, once she can move, wow, it’s all over!

@Gabriel – Hey man, I hear you. Right now, I just give up on doing anything while she is awake. Thankfully, we not have a bit of a schedule going on, so I can count on working on stuff sometime after 8:00 – 8:30 in the afternoon. The cool thing is that I can relax and play b/c I know that I’ll have time to take care of important stuff later. When she was still sleeping irregularly, that was a real struggle for me. It is a real lesson in dedication though b/c I really like to slack off when it gets later in the afternoon.

Also, I actually look forward to Scarlett getting older. It will be neat to see how she and Kitara interact with each other, once both of them are old enough to move around on their own. Fun times!
