GoDaddy has offically redeemed themselves completely!
Okay, for those of you who have been following my crazy GoDaddy story, I am very happy to announce that GoDaddy now supports not only .Net 3.5 but also IIS7. They just posted it today. They have made me a very very happy camper. Here is a quick exert from their blog:
""""
IIS7 Has Arrived
If you recently set up a new Windows shared hosting account you noticed the addition of support for IIS7. What does this mean to you?
IIS7 is Microsoft's latest version of its Internet Information Services web server. Its modular architecture provides a platform for the development and deployment of dynamic Web applications and Web sites. IIS7 was designed for security, speed and ease of use.
This also means that accounts running IIS7 are now compatible with ASP.NET runtime 3.5, a development framework that supports numerous Web technologies. ASP.NET 3.5 gives you new data controls, integrated AJAX support, improved support for nested master pages and support for LINQ.
Things to note about IIS7:
-ASP.NET 3.5 is backward compatible with versions 2.0 and 3.0
-Multiple FTP users are now available
-PHP is not supported currently
"""
Needless to say, you may be experienceing a bit of turbulence from my site as I upgrade it to IIS 7.
I want to cheer; I want to thank them; I want to say "about darn time"; and I want to instantly start rewriting my blog... actually, I think I will - right now!
Later.

Great News!
As a fellow GoDaddy customer, I am really welcoming the news. Now I need to set up a Windows 2008 test server at home and start coding...
